Urbania

Urbania desires to create a cosmopolitan, casual style of dressing with
distinctive Indian undertones that is as at ease in Mumbai as in Malaga.     This
transcendence is the soul of all our collections - hence, URBANIA.

The Dotted Line, 2017 in Malaga.

The Beginning

Our journey began in early 2014 in Japan, where we
showcased our co-founder Tripti Bhargavaʼs revivalist
textiles and received a rousing welcome.     The resultant
collection was exhibited at a booth at the Jaipur Lit Fest
and we received an invite to sell at DesignOne in
Mumbai and Urbania took root.     Soon, we were selling
at Good Earth, Ogaan, Ensemble and other stores and
also to markets in Japan and the USA.

The Philosophy

In the last five years we have evolved into a conscientious design
house striving to create timeless, uncluttered, contemporary and
elegant fashion for discerning men and women.
Our garments embody simplicity and minimalism and celebrate
the ethereal spirit of Wabi Sabi.

The Ethos

Fashion, we believe, is about comfort, style and an extension of
individualism.     Fashion has the power to change lives ‒ the lives of the
consumer and the chain of creators that deliver the end product.

For 20 years, team Urbania has helped provide vital livelihoods to
hundreds of craftspeople, weavers, hand block printers, block makers,
dyers, tailors, hand embellishers and lastly a few designers.     To us, the
process of creation is sacrosanct ‒ it must always be ethical, sustainable
and conscientious.

The brand Urbania is the registered property of M/s Bhrigu International, D-16 Meera Marg, Bani Park, Jaipur - RJ 302016, India and its partners.     We also have an associate office headed by Mr Sumeet Bhargava in Minneapolis, MN, USA.
